I found out who my roommates are today!! There will be four of us living in one apartment. The person I will actually be sharing my room with is Lindsay. She is also from Iowa State, although we have not actually met in person we have texted and of course there is always good ol' facebook!! The two other girls will be sharing the second room in the apartment. I haven't talked to them yet (good ol' facebook is failing me in being able to find them!)
Along with finding out our roommates today we found out our address. That of course led to google earthing the address. Assuming google earth showed us the correct apartment the outside of our apartment at least looks cute!!
Packing has been a bit difficult. As many of you know, I love all my clothes and always overpack!! The words "packing lightly" and "megan" do not go well together!! I have everything in two suitcases with lots and lots of space saver bags! I even got my jackets into space saver bags! Yea me! :) I think one of the suitcases weighs around 35 and the other one weighs about 40-45. I am going to try and take a little more out so that I have more room to buy (because we all know that's what I need!!). My mom keeps telling me to take out half of what I have in there (I am allowed to leave my coats in there though. I do not have to take those out, so fortunately I can stay warm!). ....and I just remembered more stuff I need to pack! Oh joy!!
Hopefully I am actually good at keeping up with this project this semester!! I have proven not to be so great at blogging/journaling/keeping a diary, etc. in the past!!
